On Monady, 18 September 2017 at IT Del auditorium, IT Del students joined the socialization on collaborative learning at 05.00 pm. The speaker for the socialization was IT Del’s Education Director Mariana Simanjuntak S.S, M.Sc. IT Del students have been educated to have used independent learning method, but now they are being habituated to engage in collaborative learning activities.
Collaborative learning method is employed by forming study groups. Each group must read and take notes individually (read textbooks or attend lectures), asks questions or involves in discussions to assess their level of understanding, practice exercises together and prepare notes before a lecture starts to know of which parts should be asked to the lecturer due to the students’ lack of understanding.
Such collaborative learning method is expected to encourage students to be more active questioning in teaching and learning activities. Hopefully, the collaborative learning method can increase students’ study results.
