On 27th October 2022, the Rector of Del Institute of Technology, Dr Arnaldo Marulitua Sinaga signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor of University of Wollongong, Prof. Professor Alex Frino. This MoU signing took place in University of Wollongong in Australia. The MoU covers potential collaborations between Del and UoW including the professional experience placement programs in Del Institute of Technology, particularly for TESOL certificate program.
The program begun in 2020. Del Institute of Technology supported the first remote teaching placement program with a UoW student over approximately 13 weeks and allowed more to undertake the same program in the following year. This alternative was tested during the COVID period and resulted in many successful completion of the students’ professional placement remotely. In total, the student took a 10-hour class observation before teaching for 20 hours.
As UoW 2004 alumni, Dr Arnaldo Marulitua Sinaga is looking forward to bringing new collaboration opportunities with UOW in the areas of academic teaching and learning, exchange of teaching resources and joint research across multi-disciplines and expanding the cooperative relationship between the two parties in the future.
