Start a Low Capital Start-Up

Jourdan Kamal –maubelajarapa.com founder shared his experience when building @maubelajarapa platform with only IDR 2,000,000 at the beginning. We love the principle “start a startup with low capital”, use “word of mouth” marketing strategy or organic grow and make sure to research the product and market target before starting a start-up.

Investors Supposed Not To Be A Mere Source of Money

Andy Zain – Kejora Ventures  founder – has been experienced in funding some startups in  Indonesia. VC (Venture Capital) not only provides fresh finance for the start-ups but also links new networks to collaborate each other to  start up and fast grow as companies.

Data MATTERS

Willix Halim (COO Bukalapak) talks how data matters in formulating a company’s policies like marketing strategy design and “the right person in the right place” employee recruitment. Willix has said a startup needs to build “traffic” in advance to obtain the data required for a policy decision.

Social Media Marketing

This social media marketing session was pretty enlightening because various aspects in formulating strategies for social media marketing were discussed in a relax environment. Four creative figures from advertising, Okky Barus (Creative Director gmpcreative), Leonarce Tan (Co-founder Mana Aktiva), Albert Leonardo (founder Marketist) and  Jourdan Kamal (Co-founder maubelajarapa) have agreed advertisers should understand their market target if they would promote their products/services by social media, so they would be able to decide the most suitable platform, facebook or instagram or other platforms.

Actually, there were many things not be covered in detail as there were too many interesting things presented, making Startupfest one of the  iconic events long-waited by citizens of Medan. See you in  Startupfest 2020.
