On Friday, 22 September 2017 IT Del was visited a honorary guest from  Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia, Dr. Adjie Sapta.  In that occasion, he took time to give a general lecture about Monozukuri on Toyota Production System (TPS) to Risk Management students .
In the lecture, were also present the Dean Of Faculty of Industrial Technology Yosef Sarbarita Manik S.T., M.Sc and some Risk Management lecturers.
Monozukuri is a philosophy of products’ manufacturing in which the process will have been continuously improved to yield a perfect final output relying on the quality of competent human resources. Toyota Production System (TPS) can be considered tools or methods applied by the Toyota industrial at high level of efficiency. The principles in TPS are derived from one of Japanese’s culture values, Monozukuri.
In his description, Dr. Adjie Sapto highlighted Toyota Production System (TPS) not only concerns with creating products but also stimulates the human’s willingness of manifesting his or her resources in an optimal way (a worker must be trained, have skills and potential). A human resource becomes the largest asset and mostly influencing in production. In production process, each division or line must reject defect products, avoid causing  imperfections and prevent to make faults because  Toyota Production System (TPS) is a sustainable process which fabricates perfect and satisfactory products. Thus, all productions should be initiated with market surveys so that the information on what consumers really need is clearly available.
At the end of the event, the Rector of IT Del  Prof. Togar Simatupang M. Tech., Ph.D. presented a memento to Dr. Adjie Sapto. Hopefully, the general lecture can boost the students’ knowledge.
