Laguboti, September 20th, 2018. In order to encourage tax awareness among millennial and today’s generation particularly the students, Head Office of Directorate General of Tax in North Sumatera II formally opened tax centers in some universities. The launching of Tax Center is expected to be center information to educate students regarding tax.
This event named Education and Dialogue on Tax based on the Government Regulation Number 23 year 2018 upon Income Tax on Business of the taxpayers who own business with specific gross circulating around Lake Toba and the Official Launch of the Tax Center at Institut Teknologi Del. Approximately 500 people attended the opening ceremony of the tax center at IT Del. Among the VIP guests were Robert Pakpahan (Director General of Taxes), Dr. Arlinta Christy Barus S.T., M.InfoTech (Vice Rector I of IT Del), Head government officer of Humbahas, Head government officer of Samosir, Head government officer of North Tapanuli, Head government officer of Toba Samosir, and the representatives from Directorate General of Tax. The formal opening of Tax Center at IT Del was marked by ribbon-cutting by Robert Pakpahan in person and formal tour of tax center room to all guests. The MoU for the tax center opening at IT Del was signed by Tri Bowo (Area Office Head of Directorate General of Tax in North Sumatera II) and Arlinta Christy Barus (Vice Rector I) and attended by Robert Pakpahan.
This Tax Center shall be used for numerous parties to form collaborations in research, education and training in taxes particularly for students and local community of Lake Toba in general.
