On Tuesday, July 11th, 2017 at IT Del Auditorium the Summer School Program was opened by the Rector of IT Del Prof. Ir. Togar M. Simatupang, M. Tech., Ph.DA. The event was opened by the audience’s singing our national anthem Indonesia Raya followed by the students from Czech University of Life Science (CULS), Prague sing their national anthem.
The opening was attended by Mr. Head of Tourism Office for Toba Samosir Ultri Simangunsong and his staff. Before the Rector’s opening remarks, the Head of Tourism Office gave some explanation about the tourism in Toba Samosir regency like tourist destinations attractive to visit, Bataknese food and etc.
Furthermore, the Rector of IT Del gave a detail explanation on IT Del. He presented about IT Del, its faculties and everything about IT Del.
In the opening, a representative among CULS students was invited to share his impression while arriving at IT Del. After the opening one by one the CULS students were welcomed to introduce themselves. The number of CULS students joining this Summer School Program is 17 persons.
The summer school activities are the collaboration between IT Del and Czech University of Life Science (CULS), Prague. This year has become the sixth year of the program. CULS students in IT Del will have been here from 10-31 July, 2017.
For CULS students, summer School is one of ways to enjoy cool experience. Not only will they know about another country, but they can also absorb some knowledge. The Summer School program offers a concept of fun and educational learning. Although the program is packaged under the title “learning”, it does not mean there’s no time for holiday and cultural sharing. The summer school participants still are going to enjoy various agenda in the middle of learning sessions, like city tour to numerous iconic tourism sites and local cultural attractions. In addition, the summer school provides a new experience for CULS students to feel how to live with a new family in other people’s country.
