That morning students at the Faculty of Electrical and Informatics Engineering, Faculty of Biotechnology and Faculty of Industrial Technology had a chance to listen to a general lecture presented by Prof. Bambang Sunendar Purwasasmita, M.Eng from ITB under the theme “Grand Initiation of Nanoscience Development and Nanotechnology of Indonesia”.
In his general lecture, he explained about the progress of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Indonesia, the strategies prepared toward nanotechnology, the challenges, the risk management, the impacts of nanotechnology and opportunities in Indonesia in nanotechnology and nanoscience.
Bambang, also works in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Research Center at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) as a researcher, played a video on Geopores, a research on porous roads built without cement and sand but water absorbing, risks of floods reducing especially in cities.
At the end of event, the Rector of IT Del Prof. Togar Simatupang M. Tech., Ph.D. gave a memento, bataknese traditional woven cloth to Prof. Ir. Bambang Sunendar Purwasasmita, M. Eng and expressed his wish to be able to meet with him in another occasion.
