On Saturday, May 28th, 2016, the Vice Chair of Indonesia’s People’s Assembly Dr. Oesman Sapta, Pangdam I Bukit Barisan Major General TNI Lodewyk Pusung and their aides visited Institut Teknologi Del (IT Del). Dr. Oesman Sapta, as the part of Vice Chair of Indonesia’s People’s Assembly, was coming to IT Del in Toba Samosir regency with his aides for socializing four pillars of nationality. Dr. Oesman Sapta’s and Major General TNI Lodewyk Pusung’s were warmly welcomed by the Head of Del Foundation Branch Sumatera Utara Vice Rector, lecturers and staffs.
In this occasion, Vice Rector 3 of IT Del, Deni Lumbantoruan, presented about IT Del campus. Deni Lumbatoruan straightly pointed at why IT Del was established in a rural area, precisely near Lake Toba instead of cities. He also profiled IT Del students and lecturers who had worked in numerous places across Indonesia, including overseas.
Following the presentation, Dr. Oesman Sapta involved in a short discussion with a team from IT Del. He gave a special note and appreciation to the Foundation, which was willing and able to facilitate as well as support qualified human resources in a rural area. He strongly hoped that IT Del would be more and more successful in the coming years and would be capable of lying a foundation down for establishing other qualified higher education institutions outside Java.
After the short meeting, the guests were given a campus tour around IT Del. Finally, the Vice Chair of Indonesia’s People’s Assembly Dr. Oesman Sapta and Pangdam I Bukit Barisan Mayjen TNI Lodewyk Pusung left IT Del for Medan by helicopter.
