On Monday, September 5th, 2016 IT Del students, as was scheduled, were starting their new semester, which is Odd Semester for the academic year of 2016/2017. As usual IT Del’s division of Students and Academics affairs held a grand opening for the new semester. The occasion was attended by the Rector of IT Del, Prof. Roberd Saragih, MT, IT Del’s Chair of Academic Senate Prof. Togar Simatupang, lecturers, teaching assistants and all IT Del students.
The grand opening was opened by the Rector of IT Del Prof. Roberd Saragih in person. He addressed the new students of 2016 and motivated them to be the best and avoid any chance to be dropped out.
Such event in general aims to evaluate the students’ academic achievement and activities in the prior semester. Also, the students would be encouraged to go through another new semester, especially that odd semester. It was held to remind IT Del students about every rule they had to obey and do, like rules of academics and students, rules concerning IT Del’s facilities and equipment pieces, general rules and rules when students were being off campus. Apart from the reminders, this grand opening was used to introduce new lecturers and academic staffs who were soon working at IT Del.
