Global Undergraduate Exchange Program or abbreviated as Global UGRAD is a well-respected scholarship for undergraduate students to study in the U.S. Unlike the scholarships for enrolling English courses, it is more likely to give the grantee  learning experience in various universities in the U.S. for one or two semesters (one academic year) plus Intensive English up to 3 months for some grantees.
Global UGRAD is a program of the U.S. Department of State, the main sponsor and managed by World Learning in Washington DC selecting someone as the grantee in addition to taking care of the grantees’ affairs in the U.S.  Before selected to study in America, each applicant will be managed by the U.S. Embassy in his or her own country or by the Institution which manages Fulbright scholarships in several countries like AMINEF (American-Indonesian Exchange Foundation) in Indonesia.
The objective of the scholarship is to help emerging students from various countries to train  their sense of leadership through learning and interacting with the culture and society of the U.S. The scholarship is a non-degree, but the grantee remain to have to follow all terms from the host university in America as a regular student.

Institut Teknologi Del should be proud because one of its students from Engineering Management study program passed out of thousands of applicants and now has a right to study for one semester in the U.S. ,precisely at Minnesota University. The student is Marselo Hamonangan Sitorus, the second grade student class of 2015 from Engineering Management.
This year, there are five (5) Indonesian students successfully selected in  Global Undergraduate Exchange Program from Bengkulu, East Nusa Tenggara (Kupang), Kalimantan and of course, Sitoluama Village in Laguboti. This proves that students can reach high in their accomplishments, even to the U.S. though they are in the remote area.
During studying at Minnesota University, all tuition like college fees, meals’ costs, accommodation, pocket money and even health insurance will be covered by the U.S. government.
We’re looking forward to Marselo being able to share his experience with his college mates during studying there right after he should come back to IT Del and inspire others to be more accomplished.
Viva IT Del, always be the great !
