Sitoluama, July 15, 2019 Electrical Engineering study program and PGN’s CSR conduct Capacity Building for Village staffs through the Partnership-Based Community Service Program. Four partner village have involved; Lumban Suhi-Suhi Dolok village (Samosir Regency), Lumban Gorat village (Toba Samosir Regency), Sampean village (Humbang Hasundutan regency) and Sigumbang village (North Tapanuli regency). Each village was represented by four village staffs in the training.
Fast technology development nowadays has turned villages into the state’s smallest primary production unit, demanding the villages to enhance their skills and knowledge. In order to answer such challenges, four Partner Village were given Good-Use Internet Training, BUMDES Development and Village Website Development. With the knowledge village officials should be able to protect and use the Internet wisely. Also, the village can develop and promote real potentials that can reach wider markets and bring positive impact to the prosperity of village community. During the activity, the participants of the training were highly enthusiast in joining and asked many questions.
The Electrical Engineering’s Partnership-based Community Service Program is designed to support the government’s program to build the capacity of village officials, stated in point three of Nawacita “building Indonesia from the rural areas by strengthening regions and villages for the united country.” This is designed as a sustainable program, with Program stage 1 implemented last year. The program included the installation of the Internet, laptops and printers.
