Laguboti, Monday, September 10th, 2018. This semester, as usual the Grand Opening was held according to the academic calendar of Institut Teknologi Del (IT Del), for IT Del students were about to begin the new semester, the Odd Semester of 2018/2019. In order to launch the new semester, IT Del Academic and Students Affairs held the Grand Opening for the New Semester. The event was attended by IT Del Rector Prof .Ir. Togar M. Simatupang, M.Tech., Ph.D., Del Foundation Chair Mr. Patuan P Simatupang, IT Del lecturers, teaching assistants and students.
The Grand Opening was opened by Del Foundation Chair in person. In the occassion, Mr. Patuan P Simatupang sent messages to the students about the purpose of life amidst the mystery of life and on having IT Del principles MarTuhan, Marroha and Marbisuk their life guidance. This continued with the Rector’s general lecture on inquiry-based learning strategy. Then, Ms Inggriani Liem continued the session with her general lecture on the 21st century learning strategy focusing on self-transformation and technology integration as well as mastering. Furthermore, the general lecture delivered Ms Mariana Simanjuntak (Anna) reminded the students of the academics and students affairs rules they had to live. Among the rules reminded were rules on the use of IT Del infrastructure, general rules including rules for doing off campus activities, and encouraging students to go through the semester. Ms Tiurma Lumban Gaol resumed with her general lecture about the rules of borrowing books from the library.
Also, in the grand opening there was introduction to new lecturers and teaching assistants working at IT Del. Welcome to the new semester to all IT Del students. Hopefully, you can accomplish more and higher in this new semester.
