Institut Teknologi Del (IT Del) has got back to hold the graduation ceremony for 266 graduates from bachelor (undergraduate) and diploma programs. In the event, Institut Teknologi Del hosted the honorary visits of the U.S. Ambassador Mr. Joseph R. Donovan Jr, Minister of Research and Higher Education Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, Ak, Ph.D., Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Resources Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Regent of Toba Samosir Darwin Siagian, Regent of Humbahas Dosmar Banjamahor, Chief of Corporate Communication, Social Responsibility Security of Astra International Mr. Pongki Pamungkas, President of Inti Ganda Perdana Kusharijono. The event was held in Gedung Serba Guna of Del Foundation at Sitoluama village, Laguboti. The theme for the graduation ceremony was Towards Noble Institutional Transformation with the sub theme Learning Innovation in The Industrial Age 4.0 : Empowering Human Through Integration of Education and Technology.
Saturday, September 8th, 2018. Under the leading of IT Del Rector Prof. Ir. Togar M. Simatupang, M.Tech., Ph.D. and Coordinating Minister of Maritime and Resources Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan the graduation ceremony for bachelor (undergraduate) and diploma study programs was held. In the 17th graduation ceremony, the best graduate was Jordi Septian Hasibuan, rewarded with the Cum Laude predicate for earning GPA 3.76 from Diploma 4 of Informatics Engineering, Sarah Ruminta Tambunan who obtained GPA 3.72 from Information System study program, Lambok Sinaga with the GPA 3.55 from Diploma 3 of Computer Engineering.
Prof .Ir. Togar M. Simatupang, M.Tech., Ph.D. delivered messages to the graduates about lifetime learning ability, the key to preparing the next generation in Revolution 4.0 era by advancing learning with the very fast changing technology. Anything being owned and enjoyed today will get soon expired and unknown in the coming five to ten years. Also, the alumni should uphold the values of IT Del as a big family, MarTuhan, Marroha and Marbisuk as had been taught to them since their enrolling as IT Del students.
In the occassion, the U.S. Ambassador Mr. Joseph R. Donovan Jr addressed the alumni that they had made a good choice to study in the right place. Along with more corporate collaborations, many more opportunities have been available for the young generation. “I learn that the students have been in the right place, for they will reap benefits from mutual cooperation between Indonesia and the U.S.,” he convincingly told the audience. The Uncle Sam has made a commitment to building cooperations with strategic partners in trades and economy advancement opening the market for mutually beneficial and fair trades in agricultural biotechnology, technology and research continuing to strengthen the role of development for strong and dynamic economic.
